A Child Called It by Dave Pelzer

Dave Pelzer, a little boy that was stabbed, abused, and starved by an alcoholic mom, tells the world about his critical situation. His mother put him in the garage and made him go to school in the same clothes. They were ripped and torn. The only time Dave gets to eat is when his father is home which is very rare, and when there are scraps left in the garbage can.
This story is based on this poor little boy’s life. He was the perfect little thing in his parents life until the younger kids came into their lives. He was treated like a red-headed step child.
